This foreshore site has been under investigation by the Society of Thames Mudlarks and TDP since 2010. Archaeological remains include significant assemblages of artefacts ranging in date from the Roman period to the 20th century (including items relating to the hospital on the waterfront), a large group of fish traps or baskets and nautical timbers.
